The American Music Awards (AMA for short) were presented on November 21 this year in Los Angeles. The prize is awarded once a year. In addition to the “Artist of the Year” or “Favorite Trending Song” categories, there was also a prize in the “Favorite Rock Artist” category. Machine Gun Kelly took the prize home.

The Music Awards nominations are based on sales. However, the winners will then be chosen by the fans. Machine Gun combines different styles in his music and, after his music that was initially based in Hip Hop, is now more in Pop Punk.
On receiving his award, the musician addressed a few words to the audience and said that he would dedicate the award to all aspiring musicians: those who would like to play or sing an instrument. “Not just the rock artists, but all the artists who are rock stars.” Machine Gun Kelly claimed that rock ‘n’ roll was dead. Looking at himself, however, he denies this statement with the words: “But it looks pretty alive to me.”
In the past weeks and months, there have been headlines in which Machine Gun Kelly appeared. In the tougher rock and metal scene, the musician had made himself a little unpopular not long ago when he publicly messed with Slipknot frontman Corey Taylor. It is quite possible that the whole thing was planned as a PR stunt. After all, the musician currently has a new album (“Born With Horns”) ready, which is just waiting for an official release date.
In addition, a few weeks ago Schecter released a signature electric guitar in collaboration with Machine Gun Kelly. This collaboration was not received too well – at least in the comment column on the social media channels of the electric guitar and electric bass manufacturer. The Machine Gun Kelly Signature PT is similar in color to the instrument that is also shown on the album cover of “Tickets To My Downfall”. Machine Gun Kelly played the Telecaster-style electric guitar on stage at the MTV Video Music Awards. That instrument no longer made it off the stage in one piece.
